synopsis - Astald-Ndor

I found a very interesting webpage with some very very useful advice on how to write a novel!(http://www.advancedfictionwriting.com/art/snowflake.php)

In short this method goes like this. you start with one sentence, that is the shortest way of explaining what the story is about. - then you write a paragraph about this sentence.  a list of all the characters... - a list of each attribute of the character then a paragraph about each attribute.  write a paragraph on each line of the story, using the info of each character....

then make a list of each scene as you have sofar....
write a paragraph on each each.

as you go furterh in the detail, go back and add/change/delete in the prrevious steps

.......... sound good huh.......................

so I started:

One sentence summary:
A famous son of a king is looking for help to recapture his country and find his family

One paragraph summary;
(one sentence for each conflict and one for an ending)

Gerard wakes up far away from his home country, don’t know where he is.

Gerard meets the pirate, that illegally looted the boat he was on kills him, and flees

Gerard finds his best friend and  general of his army, that explains that a sorcerer has conquered their homeland. They must find 4 (earth, wind, fire, water) rune stones, that will be the only weapon available to kill the sorcerer  Each rune-stone is given to a different  group/country; the elves (water), the drow(wind), the dwarves(earth) and the humans(fire).

Together they find other members of his army and family (wife, son)and overcome many obstacles as they are searching for the stones and support to reclaim their home land.

Gerards unites all tribes, when this sorcerer attacks this area of the earth.

Ending: a big armada of boats of elves, humans and dwarves recapture his country and frees his son/daughter.  He gives his throne to his son and retires with his new wife in Astald Ndor.

Tell me what you think!
